Eleni Anastasaki is a Circus & Hula hoop performer from Greece (Chania, Crete).

Born in 1988, she started taking ballet classes at the age of 5. During her early age she was also trained in modern dance and sports.

At the age of 6 she started music lessons (classical piano, harmony, theory and classical guitar) which she attended for 10 years. She is now playing the accordion which she learned by herself keeping moving to more advanced practices. In 2006, after finishing high school, Eleni entered the Architecture Department of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in which she holds a degree in Architecture.

She fell onto her first hula hoop in February 2011 while she was attending the ‘Circus Dayz’ Circus School of Athens. Then, she started her first Circus and flexibility classes with the Russian master-class Circus artist and member of Circus family, Irina Gurova.

In parallel with Circus classes, she joined IAFA fitness school where she studied fitness, nutrition & anatomy, holding a degree in Weights & Personal Training.

In October 2013, Eleni joined ‘Carampa’ Circus School in Madrid, Spain, attending classes of circus skills – theatre, dance, juggling, handstands, flexibility, acrobatics and aerials – and mostly working with Vassily Protsenko, a Russian multi-disciplined teacher who became the director of her first acts.

Since 2012, Eleni works as a performer and teacher internationally.

“It all started when I saw a green rhythmic gymnastics hula hoop in an underground lab when I was making models for my architecture studies. This plastic circle led to the beginning of a wonderful circus and music journey.”
